Presence Of Platinum in Catalytic Converter

In every 1kg of a honeycomb (which is a filter) of a catalytic converter contains
1.5 grams of Platinum (Pt), 0.5 grams of Palladium (Pd), 0.1 grams of Rhodium (Rh).
Some Catalytic Converters have heavy honeycomb while others are light depends on the engine size. In Indiavalue of a scrap catalytic converter is approx. Rs.250/- to Rs.300/-
Per piece. Where as all the scrappers hammers the honeycomb and throw them out due to the lack in knowledge. Even they are ready to give the honeycomb for FREE if anybody wants. Where as in America and other western countries there are catalytic converter thieves to grab the one.
